Dec 1, 2021 - I was shocked to find my horror poem, Dementia, from HWA Poetry Showcase Volume VII, made it into Ellen Datlow's Best Horror of the Year Volume13. I just ordered the print version from Amazon--it's supposed to get here tomorrow. This humbles me as I never expected to ever make in one of those Best of volumes. It just came out last month from Night Shade Publishing.

Oct 27, 2021 - I will be a vendor at the Hanover Tavern ParaCon on January 22, 2022, joined by my paranormal team, Paranormal World Seekers. It will be held at Hanover Tavern in Hanover, Virginia, and after the day's events, there is a dinner and a paranormal investigation at night. 100% of the proceeds from the ParaCon will go to the historic Hanover Tavern. I will also will be a guest of Scares That Cares AuthorCon, to be held April 1-3, 2022, in Williamsburg, Virginia. Check Appearances at a Glance for more information on both.

Oct 18, 2021 - At Rosewell Plantation's annual ghost tours, I will be signing copies of my ghost book, Virginia’s Haunted Historic Triangle 2nd Edition: Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown & Other Haunted Locations (the plantation ruins are a chapter in the book) during both ghost tours on October 29th and October 30th. You can find out more about the ghost tours by calling 804-693-2585. You'll need to reserve a spot as the tours are limited. The ghost tours are $10 per person. They will have the books for sale in their shop.

On the 30th my paranormal group, Paranormal World Seekers, will be talking about what we caught or found from our investigation we just held this past Friday the 15th at the plantation ruins to the tour people.

Sep 6, 2021 - I'm excited to announce that my horror short story, Pumpkin Hollow, was accepted for the anthology, Horror for Halloween. It will be published by Dreampunk Press in 2022.

Aug 1, 2021 - I will be doing Monster Fest at the Chesapeake Central Library in October, as I've done for years (except 2020). Check Appearances at a Glance for the date, times, and address, plus link to the Monster Fest website.

Jul 12, 2021 - I am happy to announce that my two-sentence story, Belief is now available to read, along with the rest of the Savage Planets ezine's contents in the just-released July issue. The ezine is available on Savage Planets website at the Newsstand, accessible by logging in to the website. Log in is free. My story will be in the Subspace section, page 61, but do read the whole zine.

Jul 6, 2021 - A two-sentence story of mine, Belief, made it into the July 2021 issue of Savage Planets. You may need to sign up at their website: Savage Planets to their newsletter to be told when the newest issue has released. The July issue releases in a few days.

Jun 30, 2021 - I am happy to announce that I am returning as an author-guest for Marscon 2022. The science fiction/fantasy convention will happen on January 14 - 16, 2022. I am also pleased to announce I'll be attending RavenCon 15 as an author-guest as well. It is happening on April 29, 30, and May 1, 2022. Jun 14, 2021 - I will be doing a talk about Richmond, Petersburg, and Tri-Cities area ghosts, and possibly other parts of Virginia, on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at an Henrico County Library. It ill be free and open to the public, although they may have sign up on their website, too, so check that closer to October. Find more information on times and where at Appearances at a Glance.

Jun 11, 2021 - I am pleased to announce that Hanover Book Festival that originally was on my schedule for November 2020, but cancelled due to the pandemic, is back on my November 2021 schedule of appearances. Check Appearances at a Glance to your right for the date, address, and their website where you can keep up what authors and publishers will be there, and more. The book festival is free and open to the public.

May 25, 2021 - I'm adding two more events to my summer schedule. They are both outdoor, in Virginia. Fantasci in Chesapeake will be on July 24th and the RVA Outdoor Flea Market in Richmond will be on August 21st. May 20, 2021 - I am happy to announce a book signing at Book Warehouse of Williamsburg, Virginia on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from Noon until 4pm. I know I will be signing copies of Virginia's Haunted Historic Triangle 2nd Edition: Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, and Other Haunted Locations as that is the ghost book for the area, but also Haunted Virginia: Legends, Myths and True Tales, plus Haunted Surry to Suffolk: Spooky Tales Along Routes 10 and 460, and copies of my latest fiction anthologies I have stories and poems included: Journal of Virginia Writers Club Spring 2021 Edition (includes my horror story, Family Inheritance and poem, Ghosts), and Horror Writers Association's Horror Poetry Showcase Volume VII (includes my horror poem, Dementia). If you get these ahead of time from Amazon or elsewhere, bring them and I will happily sign them.

May 11, 2021 - On May 29th, I will be at my publisher's Dreampunk Press table, signing copies of my science fiction novella, Maverick Heart, in the Monarch Monarch Market. The event is by Old Dominion University's bookstore at 4417 Monarch Way, which is at the 45th street parking garage and at the corner of where the market starts. Apr 20, 2021 - I am happy to announce my horror short story, Family Inheritance, and my paranormal poem, Ghosts, are now live in the Journal of The Virginia Writers Club Spring 2021 edition. The book is full of fiction stories, poetry, and nonfiction articles, available only paperback, and you can find the link for it here.

Apr 7, 2021 - Got the word that the World Science Fiction Convention, DisCon III, will be happening as an in-person convention, December 15-19, 2021 in Washington D.C. Not sure how many will be allowed or if any walk-ins will, but check their website here for more information. Or go to Appearances at a Glance to the right of this page. My husband and I will be attending, as we became members back in February 2020.

There will also be a virtual DisCon III for those who can't attend or won't, but would still like to see some of the events.

Additionally, we will be providing a Virtual Membership for those who wish to participate in WorldCon but will not be able to travel to Washington, DC this December. The Virtual Membership price will start at US$75 and will be available for purchase shortly. DisCon III Supporting Members will be allowed to upgrade their membership for the price difference. Attending Members who cannot physically attend will be allowed to convert their membership to a Supporting Membership until April 30, and a Virtual Membership starting May 1, and either receive the difference as a refund or contribute the difference to the Capitalize! Fan Fund.

Apr 3, 2021 - My horror short story, Death of the Apostrophe, is now live in the Spring issue of Sirens Call Ezine. It's free to read and you can download it here. There are also many other stories and poetry in the issue.

Mar 1, 20201 - I am announcing two future events where I'll be a vendor selling and signing my books. The first event is the Harbour View Craft Fair in Suffolk, Virginia on May 15th. The second is the Tidewater Horror Convention, on September 10th, 11th (my birthday), and 12th, 2021. Feb 5, 2021 - I can now say I submitted the finished manuscript for Werewolves, Dogmen, and Other Shapeshifters to my editor at Anubis Press. Now, I wait for edits, what the book cover will look like, and eventually, the release date. I will be sure to let my readers know here.

I am also happy to announce my horror short story, Death of the Apostrophe was accepted for Sirens Call Publications's Spring Issue/Issue 53, which should come out sometime this March. The issue will be free to download, so please bookmark Sirens Call Publications to keep tabs on when the issue is released. I will post here too. While you are there, check out their Winter issue that came out end of December 2020.

Jan 16, 2021 - I am excited to announce that my horror poem, Dementia, which is in the HWA Poetry Showcase Vol. VII anthology, made Best Poem in Critters Readers Poll 2020, in Poems section.

Haunted Surry to Suffolk: Spooky Tales Along Routes 10 and 460 ended up in third place. And my one horror short story, A Trick, No Treat, ended up #8 in Horror Short Story. You can read the story (along with three horror poems of mine) in the Sirens Call Publications Halloween/Autumn issue of their zone for free as a PDF here.
